13-14 Dec, Dubai Autodrome: Dubai Motorsport Festival

A packed line-up of racing from 9am each day and entry is free!

  • NGK Racing Series – The series was conceived for the 2012-2013 season in the interest of providing the UAE car racing community a multi-class series to race, combining several categories of racing that have prevailed in the UAE over recent years, including GT supercars, touring cars which incorporates Clio Cup.
  • UAE Sportbikes – The UAE Sportbike championship is invariably one of the highlights of any UAE National Race Day. The speed and sound of state-of-the-art motorcycles combined with the skills of top riders makes Sportbike racing popular with fans and competitors alike.
  • Formula Gulf 1000 – The UAE’s first junior single seater series. Formula Gulf 1000 has attracted some of the hottest Emirati and expat talent from the UAE, Malaysia, Pakistan, India and UK who battle it out for the most prestigious junior motorsport title in the Middle East.
  • Radical Winter Cup – The series for Le Mans style cars will feature each 45 minute mini-enduro race with compulsory pit stops and optional driver changes. Two races each round. The racing action features both Masters Radical SR8 and Super Sport Radical SR3.
  • Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East – The series has quickly established itself as the most professional one-make series on the busy regional motor racing calendar. It is based on the highly successful Porsche formula for one-make series racing, and gives the Arab world’s most promising circuit racing drivers an ideal opportunity to further their international experience.

14 Dec, Yas Marina Circuit Drag Strip, UAE Mustang Group vs UAE Camaro Group
This sounds like it will be awesome – a friendly face-off between the two biggest clubs in the UAE – the UAE Mustang Group vs the UAE Camaro Group in the ultimate challenge to see whose cars are fastest. It’s free for spectators and the action starts from 5pm.

 

12 Dec, Mamzar Cornich in Sharjah, Classic Car event
From 4pm this afternoon there will be a gathering/parade of classic cars on the Mamzar Corniche in Sharjah held by Sharjah Police and Sharjah Club for Old Cars. There will be a prize-giving and awards ceremony at the end of the day at Qanat Al Qasba.

14 December, Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi, Gulf 12 Hours Race
Some of the UAE’s and the world’s up and coming motorsport stars will be out in force at Yas Marina Circuit this upcoming Friday, 14th December for the Gulf 12 Hours endurance race.

Race 1 begins at 9:30am and will continue through to 3:30pm. There will be an hour and half break between races, allowing spectators entry to the pit lane to watch mechanics work on the cars. Race 2 starts at 5pm and ends at 11pm. The race is open to the public and admission is 50 AED per person.

The Gulf 12 Hours will feature 26 entries, double the number of registered teams from the last race held at the circuit, from the UAE and countries that include Great Britain, Italy and Australia. The teams will go head to head in two 6-hour races, across from GT2 to GT4, one make categories. Similar to the last Gulf 12 Hours race that took place earlier this year in January, teams will have just 40-minutes to work on their cars during the break between races.

Amongst the teams competing on Friday will be Yas Marina Circuit’s own all-Emirati team. The team consisting of Saeed Al Mehairi, Hasher Al Maktoum, and Abbas Al Alawi will compete in Yas’ Aston Marin GT4.

    im a pro driver. and i dont like iran teams. i can break ur best records. i want to join to an arab race team. what should i do? how can i join ur team?
    i can drive gt1 or gt2 cars.
