The Charger’s been one of the biggest success stories for the reborn Chrysler and the company’s not resting on its laurels – hence this aggressive refresh on the Charger.

The first thing you’ll notice is the Dart-inspired nose with a blacked out central grille extending into the lower valance. The Charger’s always had one of the meanest front ends in the business and this car adds to the implied menace with a LED light strip surrounding the headlights – you’ll remember when one of these comes behind you on the highway.

Dodge claims every panel has received a tweak of some sort; the tail is the other one you’ll spot with gentle resculpting that sees a slimmer rear integrated light cluster topped off by a mild lip spoiler.

Inside, there’s a new steering wheel design, a larger 7″ gauge cluster and a Hurst-style T-bar shifter while the center HVAC gauges have been cleaned up, reducing the visual weight of the cluster. Powertrains remain unchanged with a 3.6-litre 292bhp Pentastar offered alongside the 370bhp 5.7-litre HEMI. The latter does have three new ‘Scat Pack’ performance kits offered – quiet you at the back!

Stage 1 adds a MOPAR cold air intake, cat back and engine remap boosting power for the HEMi by 18bhp/18lb ft. Stage 2 adds bigger cams and takes power up to 30bhp higher than stock, but for the biggest hit you’ll want Stage 3 – bumping the HEMI up 58bhp and 47lb of torque with ported cylinder heads and hi-flo headers. All these parts are available warrantied through US dealers though there’s no indication we’ll get them here. You can be sure we’ll ask though!
